A relatively “Easy” form of home business is blogging. We all have our opinions about certain topics and people are always searching for it. We all have our own special home recipe, do it yourself methods and many other things that you can write about. If you are a “Kardashian” material, it is even a good home business idea to blog about your family in an interesting way. That can possibly draw millions of visitors to your free blog.

Here are step by step instructions how to create a blog and make money.

Start by selecting the topics that you would want to blog about and write a few articles. It would be good to have a number of articles immediately posted when you create your blog so that the visitors will not feel shortchanged by very little content.

A lot are more technical about it and prior to writing articles, they consult Google’s keyword tool and its various alternatives in order to focus on the keywords where their articles would revolve. Keyword selection using the Google keyword tool is good because it enables the blogger to determine the number of people searching for a particular keyword in the search engines, the number of other websites competing for search engine positions using that keyword and the amount of advertising associated with such keywords. Just do not overdo it and fill your articles with too many keywords. The search engines are too sophisticated already that it might flag your blog as a spam and remove it from search engine results.

After that, create your blog. There are a number of ways of creating a blog and most domain name resellers offer ready-made and templates to choose from. Of course, there’s the ever reliable blogger.com that provides free blog templates, blog samples, etc. There is also the free version of wordpress but it doesn’t accept Google Adsense, the most common way beginners and advanced websites make money from.

With your blog online, write advance articles and set it to automatically post at the basically same time every day. That way, your visitors would know when updates will be made and not be disappointed when they visit your blog.

As a first step to making money, visit www.google.com/adsense and read how it works. Once you’ve determined that your blog is qualified, apply for google adsense and once approved, you can create your ad formats and stick it in your blog.

Once a lot of people are already visiting your free blog, you can expect your adsense earning to grow.
